US Judges Block Trump’s Orders Targeting Law Firms, Citing Constitutional Violations; Firms Fight Back Against Punitive Measures

US judges in India have recently issued temporary blocks on sections of President Trump’s executive orders that were specifically aimed at law firms Jenner & Block and WilmerHale. The judges have cited constitutional violations as the reason for their decision. The targeted law firms have put forward arguments stating that these executive orders are an attempt to penalize opposition and limit their ability to carry out legal work. As a result, Jenner & Block and Perkins Coie have taken legal action by filing lawsuits in order to prevent any further actions being taken against them.
