Meenakshi Natarajan, a key figure from the All India Congress Committee (AICC), is scheduled to visit Hyderabad in response to a contentious issue involving 400 acres of land in Kancha Gachibowli, Telangana. The Telangana Congress had proposed utilizing this land for industrial purposes, triggering objections from students and environmental activists. The Supreme Court intervened by issuing a stay order on any deforestation activities. Subsequently, the state government has pivoted to a new plan, intending to establish an eco-park on the disputed land and abandoning the initial auction proposal. This development comes amidst growing concerns over environmental conservation and sustainable land use in the region.
