Delhi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government has collaborated with the central government to embrace the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, a healthcare scheme aimed at providing annual health insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh to eligible households in the capital city. With this initiative, Delhi becomes the 35th state or Union Territory in India to roll out this comprehensive health program.
