In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a set of rules that will be applicable from February 22, 2022. According to the guidelines, all international passengers will need to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, passengers will have to undergo self-monitoring of their health for 14 days and report any symptoms to the district surveillance officer. The guidelines also state that passengers coming from at-risk countries will have to undergo post-arrival testing at the airport. These measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and its variants in India. Travelers are advised to follow the guidelines strictly and cooperate with the authorities to ensure a safe travel experience. Failure to comply with the regulations may result in penalties or denial of entry into the country. Stay updated with the latest information from official sources to avoid any inconvenience during your travel to India.
