IL&FS Seeks Extension for Resolving Subsidiary Cases, Recovers Rs 45,000 Crore; Targets Rs 61,000 Crore Recovery

IL&FS, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services, has approached the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) seeking an extension to settle 57 pending cases within its subsidiaries. The company has successfully resolved 197 out of the 302 entities under its umbrella, recovering a substantial amount of Rs 45,000 crore out of the total dues of Rs 99,000 crore. With a revised target of Rs 61,000 crore in recoveries, IL&FS is navigating through challenges such as delays from the government and actions from lenders. The company is diligently working towards resolving the remaining cases and recuperating the outstanding amounts to stabilize its financial position.
