DMK criticizes Centre for unequal tax sharing, demands fair allocation for Tamil Nadu; Modi announces Rs 8,300 crore infrastructure projects.

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has criticized the Centre over tax revenue sharing, alleging that Tamil Nadu receives a mere 27 paise per rupee collected, much lower than BJP-ruled states such as Uttar Pradesh. The party is advocating for an equitable distribution of funds across all states. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently emphasized the implementation of infrastructure development initiatives valued at more than Rs 8,300 crore in Tamil Nadu, encompassing new railway and highway projects designed to enhance connectivity and boost employment opportunities.
