“Indian Government to Provide Free COVID-19 Vaccines to All Adults Amid Surge in Cases”

In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new regulations for foreign travelers entering the country in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued guidelines stating that all international passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the online portal at least 72 hours before departure. Additionally, travelers are required to carry a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours of departure. Upon arrival, passengers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo testing at the airport. Travelers must also adhere to a 14-day quarantine period, which may be exempted in certain cases such as for pregnant women or those suffering from death in the family. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in penalties under the Disaster Management Act of India. These new measures aim to curb the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of both travelers and the general public. Foreign visitors are advised to stay informed about the latest guidelines and regulations before planning their trip to India.
