Ukraine captures Chinese nationals fighting for Russia, raising concerns over China’s role in Ukrainian conflict

President Zelenskyy of Ukraine recently revealed that two Chinese nationals were caught fighting for Russia in the Donetsk region. The individuals were found with identification and bank cards in their possession. This discovery has raised suspicions in Ukraine about China’s potential involvement in the conflict, as well as concerns about Russian President Putin’s intentions to extend the war. Ukrainian authorities are now looking into the presence of more Chinese citizens within Russian military units.
