In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new guidelines for foreign travelers entering the country. As per the latest updates, all international arrivals must submit a self-declaration form on the online portal www.newdelhiairport.in at least 72 hours before their scheduled travel. The form requires travelers to provide details of their travel history, health status, and contact information. Additionally, passengers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours of departure. Upon arrival, travelers will undergo thermal screening and those displaying symptoms will be required to undergo a COVID-19 test at their own expense. Furthermore, passengers arriving from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East must undergo a mandatory institutional quarantine for 7 days, followed by 7 days of home quarantine. This decision comes in light of the new strain of coronavirus that has been spreading rapidly in these regions. The Indian government has been taking proactive measures to prevent the spread of the virus and ensure the safety of its citizens. These new guidelines aim to strengthen the screening process for international travelers and reduce the risk of importing new COVID-19 cases into the country. Travelers are advised to stay updated on the latest regulations and follow all safety protocols during their journey.
