Senior Congress Leader Kumari Ananthan, 93, Dies in Chennai; Remembered for Political and Literary Contributions

Senior Congress leader Kumari Ananthan, a prominent literary figure, has passed away at the age of 93 in Chennai due to age-related illness. Ananthan, a five-time Tamil Nadu Assembly member and former Lok Sabha MP, leaves behind a legacy of public service and dedication to the Tamil language. His daughter, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan, mourned his loss and highlighted his passion for Tamil. The late leader’s body will be kept for paying homage at Soundararajan’s residence in Chennai.
