Chennai Traffic Police issued a traffic alert for motorists as major diversions will be in place on GST Road from April 20 to April 22. The diversions are necessitated by the construction of a 4-lane elevated corridor. Commuters are advised that vehicles will be redirected through alternative routes including Cenotaph Road, Turnbulls Junction, and C.P. Ramaswamy Road. Additionally, certain roads will be converted to one-way routes, and parking will not be allowed on specific stretches to facilitate the movement of traffic during this trial period. These measures have been put in place to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles in the affected areas.
