This perilous situation has put farmers and returning residents in jeopardy, with the lack of essential demining equipment hindering clearance efforts. Tragically, deminers themselves are not immune to the dangers, as ongoing casualties among them further complicate the already challenging task of making these war-torn regions safe again.
