An FIR has been filed, pointing to unauthorized construction activities at the shop that took place shortly before the incident. In addition to this, authorities are looking into the possibility of seepage as a contributing factor and will be scrutinizing building permits and adherence to regulations. Meanwhile, families of the victims are left devastated as they sift through the debris in search of any personal belongings that may have survived the collapse.
