An FIR has been filed, pointing to unauthorized construction activities carried out at the shop shortly before the incident took place. In addition to scrutinizing the alterations, authorities are also looking into the possibility of seepage as a contributing factor to the collapse. Building approvals and adherence to construction regulations are being closely examined as part of the investigation. Meanwhile, families of the victims are left to sift through the debris in search of any lost belongings, as they come to terms with the devastating loss.
