Years of leakage from Gujarat’s Narmada canal network have resulted in a 65km water trail across the Little Rann of Kutch, sparking ecological concerns. The Gujarat State Human Rights Commission has stepped in to address the issue, implementing remedial actions such as canal repair plans and water diversion strategies. The Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited is actively involved in these efforts to mitigate the damage caused by the extensive leakage.
