Goa Police Inspector and Constable arrested in meat bribery scandal, faces suspension amid corruption charges.

Police Inspector Sunil Gudlar and Constable Mohammad Hussen Haryar were recently arrested in Goa following allegations of bribery. The arrests came after the anti-corruption branch captured them accepting a bribe from a meat trader in Belagavi. The duo reportedly demanded money to permit the transport of meat. This incident has sparked outrage, with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant vowing to take stringent action against the accused. Notably, Gudlar had faced corruption charges in the past as well. The Anti-Corruption Branch is currently pursuing their suspension. This development has raised concerns about corruption within the police force and the need for more stringent measures to curb such malpractices.
