Pope Francis’s body has been transferred to St. Peter’s Basilica for public viewing ahead of his funeral on Saturday. Cardinals and Swiss Guards accompanied the coffin during the procession. The funeral is expected to be attended by world leaders such as Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The pontiff, who passed away at the age of 88 after suffering a stroke, was laid in state for residents of the Vatican to pay their respects.
