Crypto Users Open to AI Managing Portfolios: CoinGecko Survey Shows 87% Willing to Let AI Control Investments

A recent CoinGecko survey revealed that a significant number of cryptocurrency users in India are open to the idea of artificial intelligence (AI) managing a portion of their investment portfolios. The survey, which included 2,632 participants, found that 87% of respondents were willing to let AI agents handle at least 10% of their crypto portfolios. About half of the participants were open to AI managing half or less of their holdings, indicating a curiosity and interest in the technology. However, around 36% were comfortable with AI managing the majority of their holdings, and 14.5% were even willing to entrust their entire crypto portfolio to AI. The survey also highlighted mixed opinions on whether AI agents would outperform humans in crypto trading and investing. While half of the respondents believed AI would excel, the other half were skeptical. There were also concerns about trust, with 37.5% of participants indicating they did not trust AI with their crypto wallets. Despite the enthusiasm for AI in crypto management, there were reservations due to technical challenges, regulatory obstacles, and centralization concerns. The survey results reflect the evolving landscape of AI in the cryptocurrency market and the potential for AI agents to transform Web3 applications.
