India suspends Indus Waters Treaty, closes Attari post, bars Pakistani nationals from SAARC visa, expels advisors amid tensions.

In response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, India has taken decisive actions against Pakistan. The Indian government has announced the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan and the closure of the Integrated checkpost Attari. Additionally, Pakistani nationals are now prohibited from benefiting from SAARC visa exemptions. Furthermore, all defence advisors at the Pakistani high commission have been declared persona non grata, leading to India’s decision to withdraw its advisors from Islamabad. The government has issued strict orders to security forces to heighten vigilance in the wake of these escalating tensions.
