In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new regulations for foreign travelers entering the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued guidelines requiring all international travelers to submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours of departure. Upon arrival in India, passengers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to take a mandatory COVID-19 test. The government has also mandated a 14-day quarantine for all travelers, with the option to undergo a seven-day paid institutional quarantine followed by seven days of home quarantine. These new measures aim to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of the Indian population. Travelers are advised to familiarize themselves with the updated guidelines before planning their trip to India. Failure to comply with the regulations may result in penalties or denial of entry. Stay informed and stay safe while traveling during these unprecedented times.
