Suzuki Motor Corporation and Maruti Suzuki India Limited are set to establish the Osamu Suzuki Centre of Excellence (OSCOE) in Gujarat and Haryana, as a tribute to the late Osamu Suzuki. The main objective of this initiative is to propagate Japanese manufacturing methodologies across India, going beyond just the automotive industry, to elevate the skills of component producers and bolster India’s international standing in manufacturing. The OSCOE will serve as a hub for training, research, and development in advanced manufacturing techniques, ensuring a transfer of knowledge and expertise to local businesses. By setting up this center, Suzuki aims to contribute to India’s industrial growth and economic development. The OSCOE is anticipated to play a pivotal role in nurturing talent and fostering innovation in the manufacturing sector, ultimately positioning India as a global manufacturing hub.
