The Indian government has recently announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a statement detailing the updated protocols that will be in effect from August 8th. According to the guidelines, travelers must upload their vaccination certificates on the Air Suvidha portal before departure. Additionally, passengers must undergo self-monitoring of their health for 14 days upon arrival and report any symptoms to the authorities. Those who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and are traveling for educational purposes are exempt from mandatory quarantine. However, travelers who have not been vaccinated or are coming for other reasons must undergo a mandatory 7-day institutional quarantine followed by 7 days of home quarantine. These new guidelines aim to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of both travelers and the general population. It is important for international travelers to familiarize themselves with these protocols before planning their trip to India to avoid any inconvenience or delays. The government continues to monitor the situation closely and may make further adjustments to the guidelines as needed. Travelers are advised to stay updated on any changes to the protocols to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.
