“PIL in Telangana HC to Remove Illegal Betting Ads from Hyderabad Metro, Calls for CBI, ED Probe”

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been lodged in the Telangana High Court to eliminate unlawful betting advertisements from Hyderabad Metro facilities. The plea also requests an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into the financial dealings between Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) and these betting companies. The move aims to curb the promotion of illegal online betting applications on Metro trains and properties in Hyderabad.
