Goa to Deport 3 Pakistani Nationals; Tightens Security and Monitors 17 Others on Long-term Visas

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has revealed plans for the deportation of three Pakistani nationals holding short-term visas, with an additional seventeen individuals on long-term visas set to be closely monitored. The state’s police force has been tasked with identifying any illegal Pakistani residents within the region, while security has been bolstered at key locations such as airports and railway stations. Authorities are also set to conduct thorough verification processes for both migrants and tenants residing in the area. Furthermore, in a bid to ensure comprehensive monitoring, the Goa police will be conducting checks on workers employed on trawlers and canoes. These measures come as part of a broader strategy to enhance security and address potential threats posed by foreign nationals within the state.
