Goa to deport 3 Pakistanis, monitor 17 others; tightens security and checks on migrants and workers.

Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has declared the deportation of three Pakistani nationals holding short-term visas, while the activities of seventeen others with long-term visas will be closely monitored. In a bid to identify illegal Pakistani residents, the state police have stepped up security measures at critical sites such as airports and railway stations. Additionally, authorities are set to conduct thorough verifications of migrants and tenants. The Goa police force will also be scrutinizing workers aboard trawlers and canoes to ensure compliance with visa regulations.
