Goa to deport Pakistani nationals, step up security at key locations, verify migrants and tenants.

Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has made a significant announcement regarding the deportation of three Pakistani nationals who are currently in the state on short-term visas. Additionally, he mentioned that seventeen other individuals holding long-term visas from Pakistan will be closely monitored by the authorities. In a bid to crack down on illegal Pakistani residents in the state, the police have been tasked with identifying and taking necessary actions against them. To ensure the overall security of vital locations such as airports and railway stations, security measures have been significantly ramped up. Furthermore, authorities will be conducting thorough verifications of migrants and tenants across the state. The Goa police will also be carrying out inspections of workers employed on trawlers and canoes to prevent any potential security threats. This move comes as part of the government’s efforts to bolster security measures and safeguard the state against any potential risks posed by illegal residents or workers.
