Goa’s Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has declared that three Pakistani nationals holding short-term visas will be expelled from the country, while seventeen others with long-term visas will be closely monitored. In a bid to crack down on illegal Pakistani residents, the police have been tasked with identifying such individuals. Security measures have been ramped up at critical sites such as airports and railway stations to ensure the safety of the state. Additionally, authorities are set to conduct thorough verification processes for migrants and tenants in the region. The Goa police force has been instructed to inspect workers employed on trawlers and canoes to prevent any potential security threats.
