Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has made a significant announcement regarding the deportation of three Pakistani nationals holding short-term visas. Additionally, seventeen individuals with long-term visas will be closely monitored. In a bid to identify illegal Pakistani residents in the state, police authorities have been tasked with heightened security measures at crucial locations such as airports and railway stations. Furthermore, stringent verification processes for migrants and tenants have been put in place. The Goa police will also be conducting thorough checks on workers employed on trawlers and canoes to ensure compliance with immigration laws. These proactive measures underscore the government’s commitment to maintaining national security and upholding the integrity of immigration regulations.
