In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India. As per the latest regulations, all passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, passengers must undergo another RT-PCR test at the airport at their own expense. Those testing positive will be isolated as per health protocols. The new guidelines also mandate that passengers coming from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East must undergo mandatory institutional quarantine for 7 days, followed by 7 days of home quarantine. Travelers from other countries are required to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. These measures have been put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. It is essential for all international travelers to adhere to these guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of themselves and others. Failure to comply with the regulations may result in penalties or deportation. The government continues to monitor the situation closely and make necessary adjustments to the travel guidelines in response to the evolving pandemic. For more information and updates on international travel to India, travelers are advised to regularly check the official government portals and airline websites.
