Fourteen Rameswaram fishermen, who were detained in Sri Lanka, have been repatriated to India and have arrived in Chennai. The Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department facilitated their return, following their arrest by the Sri Lankan Coast Guard on March 17. Through diplomatic negotiations, the fishermen were successfully released and welcomed back to India.
