Fourteen Rameswaram fishermen, who were previously detained in Sri Lanka, have successfully returned to India and arrived in Chennai on Friday night. The Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department played a crucial role in facilitating their transport and welcomed them back home. These fishermen had been apprehended by the Sri Lankan Coast Guard on March 17, but thanks to diplomatic interventions, they have now been released and reunited with their families.
