The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in India is currently conducting an investigation into FIIT-JEE, a prominent coaching institute, for alleged financial irregularities and failure to deliver promised educational services. During searches conducted by the ED, it was revealed that the institute had collected a staggering amount of ₹250 crore from approximately 15,000 students. It was discovered that instead of utilizing these funds for educational purposes, the institute had diverted them towards personal properties. As a result, faculty members were left unpaid, further exacerbating the situation. The sudden closure of numerous FIIT-JEE coaching centers has caused widespread distress among students and parents, leading to the filing of police FIRs against the institute. The ED’s probe into FIIT-JEE’s financial dealings highlights the importance of transparency and accountability in the education sector in India.
