Hybrid mutual funds see 18% drop in net inflows amid market volatility, but attract more investors; AUM grows 22%.

Hybrid mutual funds in India witnessed a decline in net inflows during FY25, dropping by 18% to Rs 1.19 lakh crore. This decrease can be attributed to market volatility and a decrease in new fund offers. However, despite this dip, there was a significant rise in investor participation, with the number of folios reaching 1.56 crore. Additionally, the assets under management (AUM) for hybrid mutual funds saw a growth of 22% to reach Rs 8.83 lakh crore. The balanced structure of these funds remains appealing to investors who are looking for stability in the face of market uncertainties. The latest figures indicate a shifting trend in the investment landscape in India, with more investors turning to hybrid mutual funds for a mix of equity and debt exposure.
