The Indian government has lodged a formal complaint against the BBC for referring to the perpetrators of the recent Pahalgam attack as “militants” instead of “terrorists,” which claimed the lives of 26 individuals. In response to the incident, India has taken a strong stance by banning 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, including well-known networks such as Dawn News and Geo News. These channels have been accused of disseminating false information and incendiary content that is deemed to be against the interests of India, its armed forces, and security establishments. The ban comes as part of the government’s efforts to curb the spread of misinformation and maintain national security in the wake of the tragic attack in Pahalgam.
