Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, popularly known as KCR, has accused the Congress party of being “villain number 1” in the state for allegedly deceiving the people. KCR made these remarks during a public meeting in Nalgonda district, where he criticized the opposition party for its alleged failure to deliver on its promises. The Chief Minister claimed that the Congress had a history of making false assurances to the people of Telangana and not fulfilling them. He also accused the Congress of being responsible for the lack of development in the state. KCR’s comments come ahead of the upcoming municipal elections in Telangana, where the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will be facing off against the Congress and other opposition parties. The Chief Minister urged the people of Telangana to vote for the TRS in order to continue the development work initiated by his government. The Congress party, on the other hand, has refuted KCR’s allegations and accused the TRS of failing to address key issues such as unemployment and farmer distress in the state. With the municipal elections just around the corner, political tensions are running high in Telangana as parties gear up for a fierce battle for control of local bodies.
