“Nexo Reenters US Market with Trump Jr. at Exclusive Event, Emphasizes Regulatory Support for Crypto Industry”

Cryptocurrency services platform Nexo has officially announced its return to the United States market after overcoming previous regulatory challenges. The reentry event held by Nexo featured Donald Trump Jr., who expressed his belief that “crypto is the future of finance” and highlighted the importance of a supportive regulatory environment for the industry. Nexo had exited the US market in 2022 due to regulatory uncertainty and later agreed to a $45 million settlement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over regulatory non-compliance. Following the settlement, Nexo ceased its interest-earning product for US customers. The company also faced regulatory action from the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation over the same product. However, with the recent appointment of Paul Atkins as the SEC Chair, the regulatory landscape seems to be evolving, garnering positive reactions from industry players. Nexo’s reentry into the US market signifies its commitment to navigating the evolving regulatory environment. The company declined to provide further comments on its return.
