Ramakrishna Rao appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Karnataka and GHMC Chief, Karnan.

Ramakrishna Rao is set to take over as the next Chief Secretary of Telangana, replacing Somesh Kumar, who is retiring. Rao, a 1987-batch IAS officer, is currently serving as the Special Chief Secretary (Finance) and is known for his administrative skills and efficiency. Reddy, a 1996-batch IAS officer, is expected to bring his expertise in the agriculture sector to his new role at the GHMC, where he will be responsible for overseeing the civic administration of Hyderabad. His appointment comes at a time when the GHMC is facing various challenges, including the management of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the development of infrastructure in the city.
