In a recent development, the Indian government announced new guidelines for foreign travelers arriving in the country. As per the latest regulations, all international passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the online portal www.newdelhiairport.in at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers need to upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of departure. The guidelines also mandate passengers from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East to undergo self-paid confirmatory molecular tests upon arrival at the airport. These measures have been put in place to curb the spread of new variants of the coronavirus and ensure the safety of Indian citizens. Moreover, passengers are required to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices and undergo screening at the airport. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in penalties, including quarantine and deportation. The government has been actively monitoring the situation and updating the guidelines in response to the evolving COVID-19 scenario. Travelers are advised to stay informed about the latest regulations and follow them diligently to avoid any inconvenience during their journey.
