New Democratic Party lawmaker Charlie Angus has strongly criticized the United States’ immigration policies, calling them undemocratic and inhumane. Angus expressed his concerns about citizens being subjected to fingerprinting, deportation, and illegal detention by ICE, likening these actions to those of a non-democratic nation. He has urged for a boycott of US products in response to these injustices. The lawmaker’s statements come amidst growing tensions between the US and its neighbor Canada over immigration policies. The call for boycotting US products is gaining traction among Canadians who are increasingly disillusioned with the current administration’s handling of immigration issues. This criticism from a prominent Canadian politician highlights the international scrutiny that the US immigration system is facing. As the debate over immigration policies continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how the US government will respond to these criticisms and calls for boycotts. In the meantime, the issue continues to spark debates and discussions both domestically and abroad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
