Travelers who test positive will be isolated as per the guidelines. It is mandatory for passengers to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices. The guidelines also state that passengers must undergo a seven-day institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by seven days of home quarantine. However, certain categories of travelers like pregnant women, those with serious illness, and parents accompanying children below 10 years are exempted from institutional quarantine. These guidelines will be effective from February 22, 2021. The government has taken these steps to ensure the safety of the public and prevent the spread of the virus.
