New Delhi: The Indian government has announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in India in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As per the latest protocols, all passengers must submit a self-declaration form on the online portal www.newdelhiairport.in at least 72 hours before the scheduled travel. Additionally, travelers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal before boarding their flight. Upon arrival, passengers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo testing at the airport. Travelers from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East will also have to undergo mandatory institutional quarantine at their own cost. However, exemptions will be provided to certain categories of travelers including pregnant women, those suffering from serious illness, and parents accompanying children below 10 years of age. The guidelines are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of all passengers arriving in India.
