The guidelines also state that passengers must undergo seven days of institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by seven days of home quarantine. However, certain categories of passengers, such as pregnant women, those with serious illnesses, and parents accompanying children below 10 years of age, are exempt from institutional quarantine. These new guidelines aim to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of all passengers and residents in India.
