Neha Sharma warns against unauthorised AI use of her likeness
Neha Sharma asks for unauthorised AI images and videos using her likeness to be removed and warns creators and distributors of legal action.
A public request to remove unauthorised content
Neha Sharma has asked people to stop using her face and likeness in AI-generated videos and images without her consent. In a statement posted on social media on October 17, the actor called for material already uploaded to be taken down immediately.
Bollywood Hungama and Moneycontrol Hindi both reported the statement. Sharma’s request covers existing posts as well as further creation, editing and circulation of such content. She said using her identity to misrepresent her or damage her reputation was unacceptable, and made clear that she had not authorised that use.

The actor warned that she would pursue legal action against individuals responsible for creating, posting or circulating the material. Her message therefore addressed the chain of distribution as well as the people producing the images and videos in the first place.
Sharma also cautioned that operating through a fake account, or using AI to make the content, should not be treated as protection from accountability. The statement sets out her objection and the action she intends to take. It does not, on its own, establish that a lawsuit has already been filed or that a court has issued an order.

The confirmed development is Sharma’s public warning and demand for removal. The reports do not identify a new judgment in her favour or announce a completed legal proceeding. Those distinctions matter when describing her decision to challenge the unauthorised use of her identity.
Separately, Bollywood Hungama identifies Sanjog as her upcoming screen project. The Punjabi film is directed by Harish Gargi, also features Jassie Gill and Happy Raikoti, and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27.
