Saif Ali Khan joins Instagram with a Pataudi library post
Saif Ali Khan’s public Instagram debut features a library carousel, while reports note that Kareena Kapoor Khan is among his earliest connections.
A public account after years of keeping his distance
Saif Ali Khan has made a public Instagram debut, with NDTV and The Times of India reporting on the account on October 12. The profile uses the name Saif Ali Khan Pataudi and the handle saifalikhanpataudi. Its arrival gives readers a direct account to distinguish from fan pages carrying the actor’s name.
The reports describe a small initial presence rather than an established stream of updates. NDTV noted a single post when it checked the profile. Those observations are a snapshot of the account at the time of reporting, rather than a fixed total of posts or followers.

According to NDTV, the first upload consists of library photographs, including a frame in which Saif is reading. The caption refers to the Pataudi library and makes a playful observation about book covers. Reading, rather than a new film announcement, is the subject of that opening post.
Both reports identify Kareena Kapoor Khan as an early account he followed. The Times of India also reported that she followed him back. These account connections accompany the debut, but the reports do not establish a plan for how often he will post.

The Times of India recalls that Saif had previously acknowledged browsing Instagram through a private account. He had described reservations about regular posting and the pressure to promote other people’s work. A public profile therefore represents a change in how he appears on the platform, rather than his first exposure to it.
The same report notes his recent appearance in Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan alongside Akshay Kumar. The current development is the public account and its first library post; it does not announce another screen collaboration or a new release.
