Animal welfare activist M Vignesh in Chennai has received death threats after finding a threatening machete with a ‘WARNING’ note on his organisation’s signboard. Despite facing previous attacks and threats from suspected illegal cattle traffickers, no FIR has been filed. The Madras High Court has intervened to provide him with police protection following numerous rescue operations.
