Bank unions postpone nationwide strike after constructive talks with Indian Banks’ Association and Finance Ministry.

Bank unions in India have decided to defer their national strike scheduled for March 24 and 25 following positive assurances from the Indian Banks’ Association and the Finance Ministry. The primary demands put forth by the unions included advocating for a five-day workweek. Additional talks addressing various other concerns have been set for April 22.
