In a recent development, the Indian government has announced new guidelines for international travelers arriving in the country. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a set of protocols to be followed by all passengers flying into India. According to the guidelines, travelers must submit a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before their scheduled travel. Additionally, passengers must upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the portal, which should be conducted within 72 hours of the journey. Upon arrival, travelers will undergo thermal screening and those found symptomatic will be required to undergo RT-PCR testing at the airport. Passengers who test positive will be isolated as per the Ministry of Health guidelines. It is mandatory for all travelers to download the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile devices. These new guidelines are aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring the safety of passengers and the community at large. Travelers are advised to carefully read and comply with the protocols to avoid any inconvenience during their journey. The government continues to monitor the situation closely and may update the guidelines as needed. Stay informed and stay safe while traveling during these challenging times.
