The fishermen were apprehended by the Sri Lankan Coast Guard on March 17 but thanks to diplomatic negotiations, they have now been released. This successful repatriation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Indian fishermen in the region and the importance of diplomatic efforts in resolving such issues.
