Ramayana reveals Jatayu character poster with Anupam Kher

A new character reveal from the makers

Ramayana’s publicity campaign has introduced Jatayu through a new character poster, with Anupam Kher identified as the bird’s voice. NDTV and The Times of India report that the makers shared the reveal on Tuesday.

The new development is the official character artwork. It is separate from the film’s previously announced theatrical date and from earlier reports about casting. The post presents Jatayu under the title The Wings of Dharma, placing courage and duty at the centre of the reveal.

What the artwork shows

The Times of India describes two visuals: a close view of the bird’s face and eyes, and an image with its wings extended. Those images provide a first-look publicity presentation, rather than a complete scene showing how the character will move or sound in the finished film.

The accompanying announcement names Kher as the voice performer. A character poster does not reveal the full vocal performance, the length of the role or the dialogue. No such details should be assumed from the artwork alone.

In the epic, Jatayu intervenes when Ravana abducts Sita. The character is remembered for choosing to act despite the unequal contest. That narrative role explains the courage-and-duty framing used in the makers’ announcement.

Where the reveal fits in the film’s campaign

Nitesh Tiwari directs the adaptation, with Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Namit Malhotra produces the project, which is planned as a two-part adaptation.

The November 5 theatrical date has already been covered by Vanilla News. It remains background to this story, rather than another release-date announcement. The material newly presented here is Jatayu’s official character artwork and its accompanying voice credit.

Viewers now have another named character within the film’s promotional world. The poster itself does not establish the final visual-effects quality or disclose a new trailer.
