Salman Khan opens final Koffee With Karan season in new promo
A new Koffee With Karan promo confirms Salman Khan as Season 9’s opening guest, with streaming scheduled from October 14 on JioHotstar.
The first promo confirms the opening guest
Salman Khan will open the ninth season of Koffee With Karan, according to reports on October 12. The clip features the actor with host Karan Johar and confirms his participation in the opening episode, moving the appearance beyond earlier guest-list speculation.
The Indian Express describes a brief, playful exchange on the programme’s set. Khan announces that he is coming on the show, while Johar introduces the returning season and refers to it as the last one. Their conversation is part of the released promotional clip rather than a report of the complete episode.

The reports agree that Season 9 begins streaming on October 14. The Indian Express cites JioHotstar’s promo caption, which places the series on The Peacock Hub within the service. NDTV also identifies JioHotstar as the platform for the season’s return.
NDTV recalls that the programme began on Star World in 2004, with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as its first guests. In reporting Johar’s explanation for ending the series, it cites his earlier Variety interview: he wants to devote the next decade to directing films and telling more stories.
Koffee With Karan Season9: Salman Khan to appear as first guestKhan’s earlier visits to the couch
The Indian Express traces Khan’s association with the programme to its fourth-season premiere in 2013, when he appeared with his father, screenwriter Salim Khan. He later returned for the show’s 100th episode in Season 5 with brothers Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan.
That history provides context for the opening-guest announcement. The current update is the released promo confirming his return, alongside the October 14 streaming start. The reports do not supply a complete episode transcript, so the brief promotional exchange is the available preview of the conversation.
